Fiber optic polarimetric sensor for extra-high voltage transmission lines monitoring

The aim of the Project is to develop a Brillouin-based polarimetric sensor for sensing temperature and strain variation in ultra-high voltage transmission lines. The original aspect of the project is the exploitation of polarization properties to increase the sensor accuracy and effectiveness beyond the current state of the art.
