LANDAU- pLasma ANtennas aDvanced mAnUfacturing

In the LANDAU project, the aim is to create a plasma antenna based on optimized sources. Careful material selection and the use of advanced manufacturing techniques will be crucial to meet the diverse specifications. The use of surface coatings will allow for varying material properties, ultimately maximizing source performance (e.g., density ≈ 10^19 m^-3). Additionally, additive manufacturing techniques will enable the team to break free from standard market geometries. The resulting sources will be utilized in a plasma antenna prototype optimized for space applications, reaching TRL 5/6 (Technology Readiness Level) .
