PASCHEN: Plasma Antennas for SatCom and super High-frequency ENabling
The PASCHEN project aims to bridge the technological gaps that limit the application of plasma antennas in real-world and space contexts. To this end, various plasma array configurations will be studied, identifying the most promising architecture capable of performing controlled beam steering in the C-band or X-band (4-12 GHz). This approach will allow for the definition of the plasma discharge requirements and its ignition subsystem. The discharges will then be realized using innovative materials and techniques (e.g., additive manufacturing, AM), tested, and used for a plasma array demonstrator.
